    Gently slide the floss between your teeth using a back-and-forth motion. Be careful not to snap or force the floss, as it can cause gum irritation or injury. Curve the floss around each tooth in a C-shape and gently move it up and down to remove plaque and debris. Don't forget to floss below the gum line, as this area is often neglected and prone to gum disease.

    Flossing should never cause pain or bleeding. If you experience bleeding gums, it may indicate gum inflammation or gingivitis.
